Improving reporting and datakeeping to the department of health
Protocol dictated that certain diseases or infections be reported to local departments of health as per each state or counties own regulations. As our caseload increased, the ability to easily manage this fell apart quickly.
The Solution
I implemented a database to track the various types of documentation + links to websites as required by each county/state. This application also fed in information from our providers so that the nurse team could quickly and efficiently send off these documents to their respective departments
This solution was implemented securely internally directly with our nurse team to use from their workstations and collaboratively track and manage case reporting
The Impact
Users were able to collaborate, reduce rework, and improve efficiency at this previously menial task
